To ensure your time with us is as comfortable as possible we want to give you some practical information about what to do and what to expect before, during and after your eye operation.

It is important to us that you are actively involved in your care and treatment decisions so please contact us if you have any questions or any concerns.

Getting ready

We will call you a day or two prior to your procedure to confirm the time you and your carer will need to arrive at the hospital.

You’ll need to complete a pre-admission form containing important information about you and your medical history. Your pre-admission form will be given to you by your doctor.

On your day of surgery

Once this has been done you will be taken through to our procedure rooms.

Generally your procedure and recovery takes about three to five hours. Your carer is more than welcome to wait in our lounge and enjoy our refreshments and free WiFi.

Alternatively, West Perth has a range of cafés and retail outlets for you to explore. Kings Park is also within easy access if you’d prefer to take a relaxing stroll.
